Purpose of the Role
As HR Graduate, you'll join the Group's People & Culture team on a structured development programme, gaining hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle - from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, reward and HR reporting. It's a broad, generalist grounding designed to build the foundations of a career in HR within a growing, safety-critical, multi-site business.
Key Responsibilities
Support end-to-end recruitment administration: posting vacancies, screening applications, arranging interviews and issuing correspondence.
Assist with onboarding and induction for new starters, including right-to-work checks, contract issue and first-week scheduling.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records on the HR information system (HRIS), ensuring data integrity and GDPR compliance.
Help prepare letters, contracts and other HR documentation, working closely with line managers across the Group's business units.
Support payroll administration by liaising with the Finance team on starters, leavers and changes to terms.
Provide administrative support on employee relations cases, including note-taking, filing and tracking action points.
Contribute to HR projects such as engagement surveys, wellbeing initiatives, policy reviews and diversity & inclusion activity.
Respond to first-line queries from employees and managers on straightforward HR policy and process questions, escalating where needed.
Support the coordination of training and development activity, including scheduling, tracking completion and gathering feedback.
Help produce regular HR reporting - headcount, absence, turnover and other people metrics - for the leadership team.
Undertake rotations across other HR disciplines (e.g. reward, L&D, ER) as part of the graduate programme.
Person Specification
Qualifications
A degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
Studying towards, or willingness to work towards, a CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential.
Experience & Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to deal professionally with people at all levels.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when handling confidential employee data.
Well organised, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel; comfortable learning new HR systems.
Discretion and sound judgement when handling sensitive or confidential information.
Prior administrative, customer service or placement-year experience is desirable but not essential.
Eligibility to work in Ireland, in line with the National Minimum Wage Act 2000 (as amended).
