We are now looking for a talented Data Visualisation Specialist to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Power BI professional who enjoys combining technical expertise, data storytelling, and business insight to create impactful reporting solutions.
As a Data Visualisation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining trusted Power BI reporting solutions that turn complex business data into clear, actionable insights.
You'll work at the intersection of data, analytics, design, and governance, partnering with stakeholders across the Group to deliver dashboards, semantic models, and reporting assets that support strategic and operational decision-making.
Working primarily with Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, you'll help shape scalable, high-performing reporting solutions while ensuring best practices in performance, security, and user experience.
Design and develop intuitive, engaging, and performance-focused Power BI dashboards.
Translate business requirements and stakeholder needs into effective reporting solutions.
Create interactive visualisations, measures, filters, drill-down experiences, and navigation journeys.
Work alongside UI/UX colleagues to apply established branding, templates, and design standards.
Design, maintain, and optimise Power BI semantic models.
Develop robust DAX measures and calculations following best-practice standards.
Manage relationships, hierarchies, metadata, and calculation logic to ensure reporting accuracy.
Continuously improve dashboard and model performance.
Work within Microsoft Fabric and the Power BI Service to manage workspaces, apps, deployments, refreshes, and security.
Implement and maintain security controls, including Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace permissions, and audience management.
Support model refreshes, deployment processes, and environment governance.
Partner with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and validate reporting requirements.
Support UAT cycles, change requests, enhancements, and ongoing reporting improvements.
Produce and maintain clear technical and user documentation.
Assist with operational activities including refresh monitoring, access requests, production support, and reporting cycles.
Proven experience developing and supporting Power BI dashboards in a commercial environment.
Strong expertise in:
Advanced T-SQL development skills, including:
Experience building scalable datasets and reporting solutions from complex business requirements.
Practical knowledge of Microsoft Fabric or comparable cloud analytics platforms.
Understanding of dimensional modelling, reporting architecture, and data engineering concepts.
Experience managing multiple stakeholders, priorities, and delivery timelines.
Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric Data Factory pipelines and Spark notebooks.
Experience with metadata-driven ETL frameworks and configuration-based processing patterns.
Exposure to financial services, insurance, or data and analytics environments.
