- Salary: The gross salary applicable to the post of Staff Officer Grade is currently €52,763 - €63,107 per annum as at 01/06/2026.

The appointee will be responsible for carrying out a range of Graduate Studies Office administrative tasks associated with the procedures for management of research postgraduate students of the University as outlined in Postgraduate Research Degrees: Regulations and Operating Procedures. The appointee will be responsible for providing a highly professional, proactive and self-driven support function for the Graduate Studies Office (GSO), dealing with ongoing complexity, and supporting a significant change and improvement agenda. Many of the tasks primarily relate to supporting the Faculties, Departments and Supervisors with their Postgraduate students. The GSO is responsible for managing all aspects of the PhD lifecycle from admission to award. There is an important focus on oversight, delivery and recording of universal PhD path modules, tracking students’ progress in module completion, student welfare, integration and support, and providing administrative support for all research students and the structured PhD programme.
