We’re looking for a Head Chef with a proven record in service, menu development + seasonal planning, catering + events and sustainable practices.
You’ll work closely with the owners + strong team of chefs to evolve Good Day Deli, Nádúr Deli and Catering + Events.
This is a super opportunity for a driven chef who would love a change to mostly daytime hours, without compromising on the highest quality ingredients and standards and while also continuing to innovate + challenge themselves.

Requirements:
- Demonstrated 3 years experience in a senior role in a professional kitchen. A past leadership role in managing kitchen staff, maintaining consistency in food quality, controlling costs, and ensuring smooth service during busy periods.
- Creative with excellent skills in service, planning, preparation, presentation and operations.
- Proven experience in menu development as well as catering + events.
- A drive for high standards, maintaining excellent standards at all times.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- A passion for and commitment to contemporary food, provenance, sustainability, zero waste and high quality service.
- Ability to work on own initiative and collaboratively in a tight knit and well organised team environment.
- Excellent leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Committed to sustainable practices and waste reduction.
- Strong experience in HACCP, stock management and waste management.
- Systems efficiency, organisation, planning, waste management and attention to detail.
- Focused and agile chef with an ability to adapt.
- Interest and experience in global cuisine, research and trends.
- Desire to grow and exceed expectations at all times.
- Deep understanding and commitment to HACCP legislation.
