Team Lead – Diamant Linen
Diamant Linen is a leading provider of linen rental in Co. Kerry. We strive to provide "EXCELLENCE IN LINEN MANAGEMENT" to all our customers. We are looking for a motivated and organised Team Lead to oversee operations at our busy industrial laundry in Farranfore, Co. Kerry.
The Role
As Team Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring our production targets are met while maintaining the highest quality standards. You will supervise a team of General Operatives, coordinating daily tasks and ensuring the smooth flow of linen through the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Oversight: Supervise the sorting, washing, drying, and folding processes to ensure efficient throughput and meet daily delivery deadlines.
- Team Supervision: Assign tasks to General Operatives, monitor performance, and provide "on-the-job" training to new starters.
- Quality Assurance: Act as the final point of escalation for quality control, ensuring all linens meet company standards before dispatch.
- Workflow Coordination: Monitor machine efficiency (washers, dryers, and irons) and coordinate with maintenance if issues arise to minimize downtime.
- Health & Safety Leadership: Ensure the team strictly adheres to safety protocols, manual handling procedures, and the correct use of PPE.
- Stock & Logistics: Oversee the loading/unloading of vehicles and manage floor inventory to ensure an organized and safe workspace.
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
- Previous experience in a laundry, factory, or warehouse setting is an advantage.
- Excellent standards of work with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Punctual with a "can-do" attitude and the ability to take initiative.
Pay: From €14.15 per hour
