In this role, you will effectively deal with emergency on-call issues, for example:
- Covering calls directly when a carer is sick or absent
- Covering calls for urgent hospital discharges home
- Carrying out all instructions relating to the direct care of clients as per their care plan
Responsibilities include providing help with:
- Personal care, including showering and toileting
- Preparing meals
- Light household duties
Compassion, good communication and organisational skills, together with a calm and caring manner, are vital for this important role in our company.

Working hours
This Rapid Responder role is full-time, and you must be available between 8am and 9pm on your working days.
Working pattern:
- Week One: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
- Week Two: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
You will work a 4-day working week, helping you to keep that work/life balance.
We are looking for Rapid Responders who:
- Have started/completed QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent
- Have a driver’s licence and own transport
- Are reliable, dedicated, diligent, and trustworthy
- Are fluent in English, both verbally and written
What you need to do
- Deliver high quality care and assistance to our clients as per their Care Plan – personal care, toileting, meal preparation, moving & transferring, supervise medication
- Observe, listen, and engage with clients
- Be punctual and manage time effectively
- Communicate with Kare Plan about any changes or concerns in relation to client needs/care
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations
