We are offering an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to build a long-term career in sales. The successful candidate will initially join on a fixed-term contract, gaining practical experience across customer engagement, sales support, business development, and commercial operations before being registered onto the National Sales Apprenticeship Programme in Dublin on the February 2027 intake, subject to meeting the apprenticeship entry requirements.
This role will provide a unique opportunity to develop valuable commercial skills, gain hands-on experience within a leading Irish construction materials business, and work towards a nationally recognised qualification.
Responsibilities:

Support the sales team in the day-to-day management of customer enquiries, quotations, orders and customer relationships

Develop an understanding of Kilsaran's products, services, customers and markets through practical workplace experience

Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues while delivering a high standard of customer service

Assist with customer communications, follow up activities, lead generation and sales administration tasks

Support the preparation of quotations, sales reports and other commercial documentation as required

Maintain accurate customer and sales records using company systems and processes

Assist in market and competitor research to identify opportunities for business growth and customer engagement
- Work collaboratively with internal departments including operations, logistics, finance and customer service to ensure excellent service delivery
- Utilise digital tools and systems to support sales, customer engagement and business development activities
- Develop an understanding of sales forecasting, budgeting, and commercial performance measures

Learn and apply professional, ethical, and customer focused sales practices in all aspects of the role

Participate fully in all training, mentoring, and development activities provided by Kilsaran
As part of the National Sales Apprenticeship Programme, the successful candidate will work towards developing knowledge and skills in areas including Sales Fundamentals, Customer Service, The Psychology of Sales, Sales Forecasting and Budgeting, Marketing, Digital Skills for Sales, Consultative Selling, Negotiation, Leadership Development, and International Selling. The apprentice will be expected to apply this learning within the workplace while completing all required academic, workplace, and apprenticeship assessments.

Apprenticeship Entry Requirements:

Aged 18 years or over

Must have Grade O6/H7 or above in five Leaving Certificate subjects (including Maths and English or Irish) or hold a full QQI Level 5 qualification or higher

Mature applicants aged 21 years and over without a Level 5 qualification may also be considered following interview and submission of supporting documentation
Please note that on completion of this two-year programme you will be awarded a QQI Level 6 Major Award: an Advanced Certificate in Sales.
