September Blackrock are hiring a head barista to oversee our coffee programme.
The ideal candidate must have at least 1 year experience in a similar role and two years speciality coffee experience,
- Train new and existing staff in espresso preparation, milk steaming, workflow and coffee knowledge.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation across the coffee station and equipment.
- Manage opening and closing procedures for the coffee section.
- Monitor coffee, milk and related stock levels and communicate or place orders as required.
- Minimise waste and help maintain appropriate portion and cost controls.
- Ensure coffee equipment is properly cleaned and maintained and flag servicing or repairs when required.
- Work closely with management and the wider front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
- Help develop the café’s coffee programme, including seasonal drinks and improvements to service and workflow.
