Overview of role:
The Quality Officer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and best practice. The role works closely with stakeholders across the business to monitor quality performance, conduct audits, identify areas for improvement, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational compliance and performance.
Working collaboratively with managers and employees, the Quality Officer monitors compliance, coordinates audits and inspections, investigates findings and trends, and supports the delivery of improvement initiatives that strengthen governances, operational controls, and SHEQ performance across the Company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Company’s QMS.
- Develop and implement project-specific Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans in conjunction with Project Managers and clients.
- Conduct regular, documented site inspections during and after construction phases to ensure compliance with Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
- Identify defects or deviations from specifications, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and track issues through to root cause analysis and resolution.
- Ensure Compliance with legislative requirements.
- Ensure that ISO Management Systems are maintained and implemented across all project streams.
- Maintain quality records, documentation, procedures, and registers to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance requirements.
- Attending Client meetings as required
- Communicate effectively across sites and promote a strong HSEQ culture.
Key Skills and Experience
- Third-level qualification in Quality Management, Health & Safety, Compliance, Risk Management or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a Quality, Compliance, Health & Safety, Risk, or Governance Role.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, or compliance assessments.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and prepare details reports.
- Familiarity with ISO management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Experience maintaining policies, procedures, and quality documentation.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
