The Role
This is a hands-on sales position responsible for managing enquiries and converting opportunities across Drumhierny's weddings, corporate, group and events business.
You will manage leads from initial enquiry through to booking, building strong relationships with prospective clients while ensuring every interaction reflects the Drumhierny experience.
The role is not solely wedding focused. Alongside wedding enquiries, you will work with corporate groups, tour operators, retreat organisers, private event clients and other groups looking to use the estate.
You will work closely with our Sales & Marketing, Operations, Events, Accommodation, Wellbeing and Food & Beverage teams to create commercially strong proposals and ensure a smooth handover from sale to delivery.
Key Responsibilities Enquiry & Lead Management
- Respond promptly and professionally to incoming wedding, corporate, group and event enquiries.
- Qualify each opportunity to understand dates, guest numbers, budget, accommodation requirements and overall event objectives.
- Manage enquiries through the full sales journey from first contact to confirmed booking.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective clients through email, telephone and scheduled calls.
- Identify high-value and high-intent opportunities and prioritise follow-up accordingly.
- Manage availability enquiries and propose alternative dates or packages where appropriate.
Sales & Conversion
- Convert qualified enquiries into confirmed bookings and revenue.
- Conduct sales calls, virtual consultations, venue tours and site visits.
- Present Drumhierny confidently and clearly, tailoring the sales approach to each client.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, packages and booking information.
- Secure deposits and required booking documentation within agreed timelines.
- Follow up on outstanding proposals and actively progress opportunities towards a decision.
- Identify opportunities to increase booking value through accommodation, wellbeing experiences, food and beverage, extended stays and additional event elements.
Weddings
- Manage new wedding enquiries from initial contact through to deposit and booking.
- Host prospective couples for private tours and consultations.
- Clearly communicate venue options, accommodation, ceremony spaces, drinks packages and estate experiences.
- Maintain contact with warm wedding leads and drive appointments and bookings.
- Support Drumhierny at wedding showcases, fairs and industry events where required.
Corporate, Groups & Events
Develop and convert opportunities including:
- Corporate offsites and retreats
- Meetings and incentive groups
- Group tours
- Wellness retreats
- Private celebrations
- Christmas parties
- Community and association events
- Residential groups
- Brand and partner events
Work with organisers to build packages combining accommodation, event spaces, catering, wellbeing and activities.
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within HubSpot.
- Record all calls, emails, meetings, next actions and opportunity values.
- Ensure every active opportunity has a clear next step and expected close date.
- Maintain a clean and accurate sales pipeline.
- Support weekly forecasting and sales reporting.
- Track enquiry source, conversion performance and reasons for lost business.
Commercial Performance
Work towards agreed individual and department sales targets, including:
- Enquiry-to-booking conversion rate
- Revenue booked
- Event pipeline value
- Sales activity and follow-up
- Venue tour-to-booking conversion
- Average booking value
- Lead response time
- Accommodation and experience upsell revenue
You will be expected to understand the commercial value of each enquiry and balance guest requirements with rate, availability and profitability.
Client Experience
- Deliver warm, professional and responsive communication throughout the sales process.
- Build trust with couples, organisers and corporate clients.
- Ensure information provided is accurate and expectations are clearly managed.
- Create a seamless transition from the sales process to the Events and Operations teams once a booking is confirmed.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients following booking and identify opportunities for repeat and referral business.
Internal Collaboration

Provide clear and complete handovers so operational teams have all agreed commercial and client information.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is commercially ambitious but genuinely enjoys working with people.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience in hospitality, events, venue, tourism or service-based sales.
- Strong sales and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence speaking with prospective clients by phone, email and in person.
- Experience managing multiple enquiries simultaneously.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Confidence conducting venue tours and client presentations.
- Ability to follow a structured sales process and consistently follow up opportunities.
- Commercial awareness and confidence discussing pricing and packages.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Comfortable working with CRM and booking systems.
- Experience with HubSpot would be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a wider operational team.
Experience selling weddings, hotels, venues, corporate events or group accommodation would be particularly relevant, although we are open to candidates from other strong sales backgrounds.

Pay: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
