General Operative / Groundworker (Machine Experience Required)
Konstruct is seeking an experienced and motivated General Operative / Groundworker to join our growing team, delivering high-quality residential renovations and extensions across North Dublin.
The Role
You will be involved in projects from the initial site setup and excavation stage through to substructure completion and blockwork up to joist level before moving on to the next project. The role involves all aspects of residential groundworks, including excavation, drainage, foundations, subfloor preparation and structural works.
Responsibilities
- Operate mini excavators and site dumpers safely and efficiently.
- Carry out all aspects of groundworks and excavation.
- Undertake demolition works.
- Carry out needle and propping works.
- Lay drainage and pipework.
- Prepare foundations and subfloor levels.
- Assist with block laying up to joist level.
- Work safely and efficiently as part of a professional site team.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential groundworks and construction (essential).
- Proven experience operating mini excavators and site dumpers.
- Strong background in residential groundworks.
- Experience with demolition and structural support works (needle and propping).
- Experience laying drainage and pipework.
- Experience assisting with block laying up to joist level.
- Full, clean driver’s licence (essential).
- Valid Safe Pass (essential).
- Strong work ethic with a reliable, positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Manual Handling certificate (beneficial but not essential).
