About the Role
We are seeking motivated and reliable General Operatives to join our expanding manufacturing team, producing high-quality timber frame homes. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced factory environment where you will be involved in the assembly of timber frame components and contribute to all stages of the manufacturing process, from preparation and assembly through to finishing and dispatch
Key Responsibilities
- All candidates must hold a valid Manual Handling Certificate
- Candidates must be punctual with a good work ethic and have contactable references
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious
- Assemble timber frame wall panels, floor cassettes, and roof components in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Measure, cut, and fit timber, insulation, and sheet materials to required standards.
- Install membranes, insulation, and other components as part of the timber frame manufacturing process.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet company and customer specifications.
- Read and interpret production drawings and work instructions.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of materials within the factory.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets and delivery schedules.
- Report any quality, equipment, or safety issues to supervisors.
