At Cavistons Seafood Restaurant we are currently recruiting for a Junior Sous Chef to join our established kitchen team. We work daily to provide our customers with excellent dishes and hospitality whilst dining in our newest edition, our restaurant.
We specialise in predominantly fresh seafood and meat dishes, with a focus on local, organic and wild Irish produce as much as possible..
The candidate must have the following:
- 3 Years experience in kitchen management at Sous Chef level
- Experienced in preparation of all aspects of meat and fresh fish produce
- Experience in A la carte cooking and service, private functions and banqueting.
- Be passionate about delivering high quality modern dishes with frequent changing menus.
- Have the ability to work within a team, mentoring staff and guiding junior staff.
- Capable of leading the kitchen team, ensuring guidelines are achieved daily.
- Assist head chef in menu creating and food development.
- Full HACCP training

Duties:
Main daily duties will include:
- Leading a team for morning/ evening service, ensuring quantities required are prepared & individual sections meet required time demands.
- Assist head chef in stock control and daily orders.
- Help to progress and train members of staff in a positive but successful manner.
- Health and Safety - Ensuring the kitchen hygiene standards remain high throughout the working day, regular HACCP checks.

Pay: €39,000.00-€43,000.00 per year
