BuildTech is a Dublin-based Design & Build contractor specialising in residential renovations, extensions, refurbishments and deep-retrofit projects.
Our integrated approach brings architecture, engineering, cost planning and construction delivery together under one team. As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Carpenter/Joiner to join our construction team.
The Role
This is a hands-on carpentry position rather than a foreman or site-management role.
The successful candidate will work across multiple BuildTech projects throughout Dublin, moving between sites as scheduled carpentry packages become ready. You will work under the direction of the relevant project foreman or project manager, completing defined packages of carpentry work efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
The role will cover a broad range of first-fix and second-fix carpentry associated with residential renovations, extensions, refurbishments and deep-retrofit projects.
We are looking for a dependable and adaptable carpenter who can arrive on a project, understand the required scope and complete the work professionally without requiring constant supervision.
Candidate Requirements
- Fully qualified Carpenter/Joiner
- Minimum of five years’ post-apprenticeship experience
- Strong experience in residential construction
- Experience working on renovations and extensions is highly desirable
- Strong first-fix and second-fix carpentry ability
- Capable of completing assigned work independently and efficiently
- Able to read and understand construction drawings
- High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- Reliable, adaptable and comfortable moving between different projects
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Own tools suitable for the role
- Full, clean driving licence
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification
- Comfortable using a smartphone and project-management applications to receive information and record progress
Having your own van is an advantage; however, a company van can be supplied to the right candidate.
Pay: €50,000.00-€70,000.00 per year
