We now have a vacancy to recruit an Electrician . You will be working in a highly automated clean and safe environment with access to extensive training and up to date technologies.
Salary: Competitive Base
Shift allowance - Time and Attendance Bonus – Pension Plan – Life Assurance – Sick Pay Scheme.
Shift Cycle is Monday to Friday – Days/Evenings/Nights
- Days – 6 am to 2 pm
- Evenings - 2pm to 10 pm
- Nights - 10pm to 6am
JOB TITLE: Electrician
JOB PURPOSE: Electrician with industrial troubleshooting experience to provide
technical support in electrical disciplines in the correction, prevention, and elimination of technical problems across the site.
REPORT TO: Maintenance Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Attend to machine breakdowns with the mechanical team and solve/ diagnose any electrical issues and assist with any mechanical issues.
· Key member of the shift operations team.
· To carry out all physical and visual checks on site machinery as required
· Carry out PM issued by the Maintenance Co-ordinator
· Carry out repairs and upgrades throughout the factory
· Maximise machine uptime
· To carry out system checks as required
· To log spares used and request spares as required from the Spares team.
· Undertake all duties safely and in accordance with the Company Health & Safety policy and Hygiene policy
· Provide accurate information and regular progress updates on breakdowns/projects as required by management
· Undertake any training as required and ensure working knowledge is kept current
· Keep accurate records of all testing, checks, observations as required
· Provide Engineering cover to suit the demands of the business
· Ability to assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring,
equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
· Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Qualified Electricians
- Ability to electrically fault find
- any PLC experience and panel building would be advantageous.
- Experience with pneumatics
- Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction
- Ability to work well in a team
- Ability to challenge others in a professional and constructive manner
- Knowledge and experience in a food manufacturing environment an advantage, but not essential
