SATIR, a global leader in thermal imaging technology, is seeking a Calibration Technician / Technical Operator to join our production and quality team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience in electronic assembly environments.
Role Overview
The Calibration Technician will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and calibration of SATIR’s range of infrared and thermal imaging cameras. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure every device meets our high performance and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Camera calibration — Operate SATIR’s calibration chamber to perform temperature‑controlled calibration of thermal cameras.
- Blackbody operation — Set up and use temperature blackbody sources for calibration and verification.
- Software‑based testing — Use SATIR’s calibration and test software to run automated and manual checks.
- Quality verification — Ensure each unit meets accuracy, stability, and performance standards before release.
- Documentation — Record calibration data, follow SOPs, and maintain traceability.
- ESD‑safe workflow — Work safely in an ESD‑controlled environment.
Required Skills & Attributes
- Fast learner — Able to pick up calibration procedures and software quickly.
- Basic technical understanding — Comfortable working with electronic devices and test equipment.
- Computer literacy — Confident using software tools, data entry, and calibration interfaces.
- Attention to detail — Accuracy is essential for calibration work.
- Team mindset — Works well within a production and engineering environment.
- Ability to follow structured procedures and maintain consistent quality.
