Senior Project Officer
Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for a suitably skilled Senior Project Officer to join their team. The duration of this post is 12 months initially with possible extensions thereafter. Flexible/Remote Working will apply - The successful candidate must be able to attend client sites for meetings and workshops as required.
Working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €31.70 per hour based on an annualised salary of €57,898. You will accrue 30 days annual leave per year and paid Bank Holidays.
Roles & Responsibilities

Liaising with senior management within the OHR Programme, updating Senior Management on relevant correspondence / issues / matters arising relevant to the OHR Programme leadership.

Preparation of replies to written correspondence in an appropriate and timely manner.

Monitor correspondence that requires feedback or information and follow up as required.

Collection, collation and analysis of data and information and, as required, preparation of reports and briefings.

Provide support in producing information, reports and presentations by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data and graphics.

Provide project management support to internal team to plan and organise its strategic and operational plan.

Responsible for the monitoring and co-ordinating of end-to-end processes to ensure requests for recourses are aligned with the overall OHR's programme of work.

Responsible for business process mapping, co-ordination, development and revision under direction of Senior Management

Co-ordination and monitoring of the OHR Programme's Performance Management process in line with client policies and procedures under the direction of Senior Management.

Co-ordinate and support Programme leadership in relation to internal controls monitoring, including RAID log and change control process and national reporting requirements

Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Liaising closely with colleagues across the OHR Programme to gather information and ensure data accuracy, the person will be responsible for analysing data, supporting evidence-based decision making and continued improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:

PRINCE2 qualification or similar qualification or sufficient understanding and experience in implementing project management methodologies as relevant to the role.

Strong organisational skills to prioritise tasks and manage resources efficiently.

Excellent time management to meet deadlines consistently.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.

A track record successfully supporting the delivery of projects and programmes within an organisation, preferably (but not necessarily) for a Public Sector Organisation.
- Experience of analysing and collating large volumes of data and producing summary reports using MS Excel or similar tools.
- Experience of working in a busy work environment including experience of working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience of professional writing including the creation of documents such as letters, Parliamentary Questions (PQs) responses, preparation of minutes of meetings, development of Standard Operating Procedure's (SOPS), policies and procedures etc. as relevant to the role
Skills, Competencies and/or Knowledge:

Demonstrates knowledge and experience relevant to the role as per the duties & responsibilities, eligibility criteria and post specific requirements of the role
- Maximise the use of ICT, demonstrating excellent computer skills particularly Microsoft Office, Outlook etc.
- Experience of providing project management support (in healthcare environment preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge and experience of interrogating data and presenting information in a variety of formats e.g. presentations and reports
- Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for the timely delivery of agreed objectives.
- Demonstrate strong planning & organising skills including structuring and organising own workload and that of others for the delivery of agreed objectives.
- Demonstrate good problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
