Our model of Care is a relationship-based approach that is underpinned by the theoretic methodology of Cornell University’s Therapeutic Crisis Intervention system, and further supported by attachment theories. We look at the attachment difficulties/disorders and trauma young people have endured throughout their lives and how these experiences may affect their progress moving forward, our approach is inclusive of the young people, in creating positive changes in their lives.
We are located on the boarder of Kildare/ Meath Border. The centre is a large 7 bed bungalow which is situated on 5.6 acres of land and is ideally suited to promote young people’s hobbies and interests. NCRS is a national organisation that caters for the needs of both males and females aged 13 to 17 years on admission since 2008. Our ethos is under- pinned by empowerment, partnership, respect and education through a relationship based approach.
NCRS offer a wide range of interventions and programmes specifically tailored to incorporate the individualised needs of young people. We aim to empower the young people to develop coping strategies and life skills in order for them to make appropriate life choices which will further enhance their ability to relate and communicate within society.
