About the Role
Mighty Kids Supplements, a UK company founded in 2023 having arrived at over £10M annualised revenue, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to establish and lead the day-to-day operations of our new Irish distribution centre. This is a hands-on management role responsible for warehouse performance, staff leadership, inventory accuracy, health and safety, and acting as the primary administrative contact for the Irish subsidiary.
The successful candidate will work closely with the UK head office and external professional advisers to ensure efficient operations and compliance with Irish regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the warehouse to achieve high standards of efficiency, accuracy and customer service.
- Manage inbound goods, storage, inventory control, order fulfilment and outbound shipping.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs including productivity, order accuracy, stock accuracy and dispatch performance.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements to warehouse processes.
- Ensure equipment, facilities and warehouse infrastructure are maintained to a high standard.
- Recruit, train and supervise warehouse staff.
- Prepare rotas and manage day-to-day staffing requirements.
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
- Foster a positive, safety-focused and high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with Irish health and safety legislation.
- Maintain warehouse procedures and operational documentation.
- Coordinate risk assessments and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and operating procedures.
- Act as the primary day-to-day administrative contact for the Irish company.
- Liaise with external accountants, payroll providers, banks, insurers, utility providers and government agencies.
- Coordinate company administration including registrations, licences and statutory correspondence.
- Provide operational information required for VAT, PAYE, payroll and other statutory filings prepared by external accountants.
- Maintain accurate business records and company documentation.
- Coordinate onboarding of new employees and maintain employment records.
- Support budgeting, purchasing and supplier management.
- Prepare regular operational reports for senior management.
- Work closely with the UK leadership team to ensure alignment of operational objectives.
- Coordinate inventory planning and stock transfers.
- Support implementation of new systems and operational improvements.
- Escalate operational risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Previous experience managing warehouse, distribution or similar operations.
- Experience leading and developing operational teams.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Good knowledge of warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Full right to work in Ireland.
- Experience working within e-commerce fulfilment or subscription businesses.
- Experience implementing operational improvements or lean processes.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse KPIs.
- Experience coordinating with external accountants, payroll providers or regulatory bodies.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
