The Furniture Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing furniture deliveries, collections, warehouse operations and inventory control. The role ensures the efficient movement of stock, accurate inventory and the effective day-to-day supervision of warehouse and delivery activities.
Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse and logistics operations.
Manage furniture deliveries and collections between company locations.
Oversee the receiving, storage, handling, and dispatch of furniture stock.
Ensure inventory records are accurate and maintained.
Conduct regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
Coordinate vehicle schedules, routes, and daily workloads.
Ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
Maintain warehouse organisation and housekeeping standards.
Liaise with stores, suppliers, and management regarding stock movements.
Prepare operational and inventory reports for management.
Manage damaged, returned, and excess stock processes.
Ensure all delivery and collection documentation is completed accurately.
Assist in the planning and execution of stock transfers between locations.
Provide operational cover for delivery and collection routes when required due to staff absence, annual leave, or increased business demands.
Operate company vehicles as required to ensure continuity of delivery and collection services.
Essential Criteria:
Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, furniture operations, inventory control, or distribution.
Supervisory or operational experience.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Full, clean driving licence (manual) required.
Ability to drive company vans and undertake delivery and collection duties when required.
