A growing plant hire company in South Dublin is looking for a reliable and safety-focused Category C Driver to join its team.
This is a full-time, long-term position delivering and collecting plant machinery, powered access equipment and hire equipment throughout Dublin and the surrounding counties.
Recently qualified Category C drivers are welcome to apply. Full equipment and safety training will be provided.
What’s offered
- Salary of €48,000–€50,000 per year, depending on experience
- Hourly rate of €19.00–€21.50
- Overtime paid at time and a half

The job
You will be responsible for delivering and collecting plant machinery, powered access equipment and other hire equipment throughout Dublin and the surrounding counties.
Main duties
- Deliver and collect plant machinery and powered access equipment
- Oversee the safe loading and unloading of the vehicle
- Make sure all equipment is positioned and secured correctly
- Follow delivery and collection instructions
- Carry out daily vehicle checks
- Report vehicle or equipment defects
- Provide customers with basic equipment familiarisation where required
- Complete deliveries safely and on time
- Follow tachograph, driver-hours and road safety regulations
- Maintain a professional manner when dealing with customers
Licence and qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Full Irish Category C driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC card
- Valid digital tachograph card
- Current Construction Safe Pass
- Legal right to work in Ireland
A Category CE licence would be an advantage but is not essential.
Previous plant hire, machinery transport or equipment-delivery experience would be helpful, but recently qualified Category C drivers are also encouraged to apply.
Training provided
Company-funded training may include:
- IPAF 3a and 3b
- IPAF safe loading and unloading
- Plant and machinery tie-down certification
- Manual handling
- COSHH awareness
- Fire awareness
- Slips, trips and falls training
- Equipment-specific training
