Horticulturist / Garden Centre Assistant
Kiernan’s Garden Centre & Cameron Kiernan Landscaping are a well-established family business serving Cork for over 25 years. Alongside our thriving Garden Centre, we provide professional horticultural and landscaping services to a growing customer base.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Horticulturist to join our team at Kiernan’s Garden Centre in Douglas.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing expert advice and assistance to customers.
- Plant care, maintenance and presentation.
- Stock control, merchandising and replenishment.
- Assisting with deliveries and stock intake.
- Maintaining high standards throughout the Garden Centre.
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of the business.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a qualification in Horticulture or relevant industry experience.
- Possess strong plant knowledge and a genuine passion for horticulture.
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Be reliable, organised and capable of working as part of a team.
- Have experience in a retail horticulture, nursery or garden centre environment.

Location: Kiernan’s Garden Centre, Douglas, Cork
Hours: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive salary, dependent on experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From €35,000.00 per year
