My client, an Irish accountancy and advisory practice, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Galway office.
The Role:
- Take ownership of client files and prepare financial statements from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Prepare accounts and income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, and company directors.
- Draft financial reports and provide insights to clients and senior management.
- Support and train junior staff, reviewing their work and guiding them through client projects.
- Spot potential compliance issues and highlight them to management.
- Work with a diverse portfolio of clients across different sectors, providing accounting, compliance, and advisory services.
About You:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- At least 1–2 years’ post-qualified experience within practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of Irish tax and accounts preparation.
- Comfortable presenting to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing assignments, deadlines, and client expectations.
- Strong organisational and communication skills with a proactive approach.
- Able to work independently while also supporting and leading junior staff.
