The Merchant is a brand new city-centre bar from The Emporium Company, focused on quality drinks, premium service and a strong bar culture.
We are looking for reliable, hard-working Bar Backs to support our bar team and help maintain smooth service during busy periods. This is an ideal entry-level role for anyone looking to build a career in hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Support bartenders during service
- Restock fridges, shelves and bar areas
- Collect and clean glassware
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all bar areas
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Follow hygiene, HACCP and health & safety standards
- Work as part of a fast-paced team environment
What We’re Looking For
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work at pace in a busy environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Previous hospitality experience is an advantage but not essential
