Assistant to Training Team (Part-Time)

Working Pattern
Part-time – 20 hours per week
The successful candidate can choose to work their hours over 4 or 5 days, Monday to Friday:
- 5 days: 4 hours per day
- 4 days: 5 hours per day
- Monday attendance in the office is essential
- Remaining days (Tuesday–Friday) can be selected by the candidate
- Daily working hours will be agreed in advance, with flexibility available on start time (between 8.30am and 10.30am)
- After successful completion of probation, one day per week may be worked from home (subject to service requirements)
Salary: €15,600 – €16,640 per annum (depending on experience) based on 20 hour week.
Location
Office-based role at our head office in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, with occasional travel to off-site training events.

The Role
This role is central to the smooth coordination of our national training programmes. It involves strong administrative support with occasional on-site attendance at training.
We’re seeking someone who is organised, reliable and confident taking ownership of their work.
As a small team, how we work together really matters, so we value someone who contributes positively to our working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate training materials, including stock management, ordering and distribution
- Source and book suitable, cost-effective training venues
- Maintain and update venue databases
- Support training promotion (posters, mailings, communications)
- Prepare training statistics and reports
- Manage participant communications, including weekly reminders
- Post-training administration and follow-up
- Provide on-site support at training events when required
- Assist with general office administration, including answering the phone and incoming and outgoing post
- Provide cover for colleagues as needed

- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
- Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A high level of professionalism and emotional awareness
Requirements
- Fluent English and eligible to work in Ireland
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to attend training events when required (approx. 5 a year)Experience in the not-for-profit sector is welcome, but not essential.

About Breaking Through
Breaking Through CLG is a national charity established in 2000. We coordinate and deliver suicide intervention and prevention skills training on behalf of HSE Mental Health Services in various counties and also support professionals working with young people leaving care through the Irish Aftercare Network.
