It would suit an experienced retail, deli, food-service or butcher-shop employee who is comfortable taking responsibility and coordinating daily priorities with other staff.

Maintain consistently high standards of shop and counter presentation. Ensure displays are properly organised, fully stocked, correctly priced and commercially attractive.
Check back-stock regularly and replenish products before gaps develop. Maintain the correct layout and separation of product categories.
Identify and correct presentation, stock or customer-service issues without waiting for management.
Provide friendly, knowledgeable and efficient customer service.
Prepare, package, label and display products to the required standard.
Coordinate daily priorities with other shop-floor employees. Ensure cleaning, food-safety and closing procedures are completed correctly.
Communicate stock requirements, shortages, maintenance issues and other concerns promptly.
Take responsibility for leaving the shop properly organised for the following day.
The ideal candidate Has previous experience in retail, deli, hospitality, food service or a similar customer-facing environment. Is confident, dependable and comfortable taking responsibility. Has strong awareness of product presentation and customer-service standards. Notices problems and acts on them without requiring constant direction. Can communicate clearly and firmly while remaining calm and respectful. Is organised and capable of prioritising work during busy periods. Works well independently and as part of a wider team. Has a strong understanding of cleanliness and food-safety standards.
