Kelehans of Bushypark is on the lookout for an assistant bar manager to join our friendly and energetic team.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Floor Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our restaurant and bar floor. The successful candidate will lead by example, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high operational standards, and supporting the team to deliver a great experience for every guest.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a busy hospitality environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership
- Lead and supervise floor staff during service.
- Support, motivate, and develop team members.
- Assist with staff training and onboarding.
- Ensure staff maintain high standards of service, appearance, and professionalism.
- Manage shift briefings and communicate daily priorities to the team.
Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure guests receive a warm welcome.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
- Build positive relationships with regular customers and visitors.
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout service.
Operations
- Oversee the smooth running of restaurant and bar service.
- Coordinate effectively with kitchen and bar teams.
- Monitor service standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed correctly.
- Assist with cash handling, till procedures, and daily reporting where required.
- Support the management team in achieving operational targets.
Events & Functions
- Assist in the delivery of private parties, wedding day two celebrations, corporate events, and live entertainment events.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers where required to ensure successful event execution.
- Ensure function spaces are prepared and presented to a high standard.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Experience in bar and restaurant operations is desirable.
