Role Overview
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Department Sales Lead to join our team at DID Electrical Essentials. This is a hands-on retail role.
The successful candidate will be a strong listener, a natural seller, and a confident communicator who can deliver an excellent customer experience while driving sales performance within their department.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Experience
· Deliver exceptional customer service by actively listening to customer needs and recommending the right products.
· Drive sales through strong product knowledge and confident upselling.
· Build trust with customers to encourage repeat business and long-term relationships.
· Take ownership of customer queries and ensure full resolution.
Department Management
· Take full responsibility for the performance of your department.
· Ensure all displays are well-merchandised, clean, and aligned with current promotions.
· Monitor stock levels and work with the wider team to maintain availability.
· Support pricing accuracy and promotional execution.
Team Support & Leadership
· Lead by example on the shop floor through energy, professionalism, and sales focus.
· Work closely with store management to achieve overall store targets.
Sales Performance
· Consistently meet and exceed individual and department sales targets
· Maximise every sales opportunity through add-ons and upselling.
· Track performance and adapt approach to improve results.
