About the Role
As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operation of a children's residential service. You will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, child-centred care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory, legislative, and organisational requirements.
You will lead and inspire a dedicated team, promote a positive culture, manage resources effectively, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the residential service.
· Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of children and young people in care.
· Provide leadership, supervision, and support to the Deputy Manager, Social Care Leaders and Social Care Workers.
· Foster a positive, trauma-informed, and therapeutic culture within the service.
· Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, Child Care Regulations, company policies, and legislative requirements.
· Manage staffing, recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development.
· Oversee house budgets and ensure effective financial management.
· Maintain a safe, welcoming, and homely environment for young people.
· Participate in the senior management on-call rota.
· Lead audits, quality assurance processes, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
Pay: €55,000.00-€60,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Tipperary, County Tipperary: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
