JOB TITLE: Laboratory Technician - Milk Intake (Temporary)
BUSINESS UNIT: Food Ingredients
FUNCTION: Perform testing in Milk Intake Laboratory
REPORTING TO: Senior Chemist
LOCATION: Nenagh
PURPOSE:
Testing of raw material and in-process liquids to ensure Food Safety and Quality compliance.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
Performing analytical testing of all milk deliveries in the Intake Laboratory.
Monitor temperatures and CIP of all tankers, send reports and alert relevant managers to any issues.
Manage the CCP (Antibiotic test) at milk intake and escalate CCP issues / failure.
Conduct testing of Dairy liquids dispatched, issue COA and ensure any non-conforming results are reported to manager before dispatch.
Log all relevant data on LIMS and complete all relevant records
Complete daily calibrations on testing equipment
Conduct daily sampling and testing of milk and in- process silos as per schedule and ensure all results are notified to the relevant production Department Managers.
Ensure that all documentation is completed correctly as per approved procedures
Identifying and highlighting any issues to the appropriate supervisor/manager and issue e: mail reports. Following through with issues to achieve a resolution.
Comply with health and safety requirements
Support the other testing laboratories as required
Manage stock of consumables used in Milk Intake in compliance with Budget for the area.
QUALIFICATION
Minimum Diploma in Food Chemistry / Bioscience/ Laboratory Science or equivalent.
Experience in a testing laboratory, ideally in a Dairy Environment.

Computer literacy is essential.
A high level of English verbal and written fluency is required.
