Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, organised, and customer-focused Junior Call Taker to join our busy plumbing company. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customers, handling incoming calls, scheduling jobs, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer calls promptly and professionally.
- Record customer details accurately, including contact information, addresses, and job requirements.
- Schedule plumbing jobs and allocate work to engineers using the company's scheduling system.
- Prioritise emergency call-outs and communicate urgent jobs to the appropriate team members.
- Provide customers with estimated arrival times and updates where available.
- Respond to customer enquiries regarding services, appointments, and pricing (within company guidelines).
- Liaise with plumbers and office staff to ensure efficient job coordination.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and completed work.
- Follow up with customers when required to confirm appointments or gather additional information.
- Handle customer complaints courteously and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Assist with general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and email correspondence.
Skills and Experience Essential
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal communication and telephone manner.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and email.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable
- Previous experience in an office environment.
- Some Experience using scheduling or dispatch software would be advantageous
- Knowledge of the plumbing or construction industry (training will be provided).

Working Hours
- Full-time Monday- Friday

Pay: €27,000.00-€30,420.00 per year
