The Great National Hotel Ballina is currently seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and customer-focused Sales Executive to join our Sales & Marketing Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to develop their career in hotel sales, events, and marketing. Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will play a key supporting role in the day-to-day administration, coordination, and delivery of sales, marketing, events, and promotional activities across the hotel.
The Sales Executive will assist in driving business across all revenue streams including accommodation, meetings and events, conferences, leisure, corporate business, and food & beverage outlets.

Support the Sales & Marketing Manager in achieving hotel revenue targets and business objectives.

Respond promptly and professionally to sales enquiries.

Assist with preparing quotations, proposals, contracts, and follow-up correspondence.

Maintain accurate records within the hotel's sales systems and databases.

Conduct proactive sales calls and follow-up activities with prospective and existing clients.

Assist with account management of corporate, leisure, tour, and group clients.

Support the generation of new business opportunities and lead generation activities.

Assist with the coordination of conferences, meetings and special events.

Liaise with clients to gather event requirements and ensure accurate communication with operational departments.

Support site inspections and hotel show-arounds.

Assist with event administration, function sheets, and client correspondence.

Ensure a smooth handover of event details to operational teams.

Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.

Support the management of social media platforms and content creation.

Assist with website updates, newsletters, and digital marketing initiatives.

Coordinate promotional materials and marketing collateral.

Monitor competitor activity and market trends.

Manage daily sales administration and filing systems.

Prepare reports, forecasts, and sales activity updates as required.

Maintain accurate client databases and CRM records.

Support the preparation of monthly sales and marketing reports.

Assist in organising networking events, trade shows, and client events.

Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.

Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Act as an ambassador for the Great National Hotel Ballina brand.

Ensure all enquiries are handled efficiently and professionally.

Previous experience in hospitality, sales, events, marketing, or administration preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
