Location: Ashfield College, Dundrum and City College Dublin (Head Office), Dublin City Centre.
Salary: 33,000 - 35,000 per annum (DOE)
About the Role
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Content & Social Media Executive will play a key role in developing and delivering engaging digital content and supporting marketing initiatives across City Education Group, including Ashfield College and City College Dublin.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands what makes content perform across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other digital platforms. You'll be responsible for capturing authentic moments across our campuses, producing engaging content, and helping tell the stories of our students, staff and wider community.
The ideal candidate will be an energetic and creative self-starter with strong visual instincts, excellent organisational skills and a passion for storytelling. Above all, we're looking for someone who is exceptionally reliable, proactive and comfortable working independently while representing our brands professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Marketing Manager to develop and implement engaging social media and content strategies across City Education Group brands, managing and growing our presence on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn while ensuring all content aligns with the organisation's brand identity and objectives.
Create, capture, film, edit and publish high-quality photography and video content across both campuses, showcasing classes, student life, events, graduations, open evenings and the wider City Education Group experience, including student achievements, staff stories and alumni success.
Build positive relationships with students, lecturers and staff to create authentic and engaging content.
Plan and manage content calendars and publishing schedules, ensuring consistent, on-brand messaging across all platforms.
Monitor social media performance and analytics, providing insights and recommendations to optimise engagement and growth.
Support the creation of brochures, newsletters, website content and other digital and print marketing materials.
Assist the Marketing Manager with integrated marketing campaigns, PR activities, brand initiatives and promotional projects.
Stay up to date with social media trends, platform developments and opportunities relevant to the Irish education sector.
Provide event and on-the-day marketing support for open evenings, graduations, student events, exhibitions and other City Education Group activities, including capturing, editing and publishing timely photography and video content for live and post-event promotion.
Qualifications
A degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
Essential Skills & Experience
At least one year's experience in content creation, social media management, marketing or communications.
Strong photography and videography skills, with experience using professional camera equipment to independently capture and produce high-quality visual content.
Experience creating engaging short-form content for social media platforms.
Proficiency with CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or similar editing software.
Excellent understanding of social media trends, platform algorithms and audience engagement.
Understanding of the Irish education sector and the ability to create content that resonates with secondary school students, parents and adult learners.
Highly organised with excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Exceptionally reliable, proactive and able to work independently while maintaining regular communication with the Marketing Manager.
Flexibility to work across City Education Group locations in Dublin and attend events as required.
Desirable
Experience working within education, youth organisations or a similar environment.
Experience with Meta Ads, TikTok Ads and paid social campaigns.
Ownership of professional photography and/or videography equipment would be an advantage.
Understanding of audience segmentation and digital marketing best practice.
