About Foodhub
Foodhub is a fast-growing global technology company entering an exciting new phase of expansion. With a newly established Dublin headquarters and operations across the UK, USA, ANZ and India, we are building a high-calibre senior leadership team to help shape the future of the business.
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Group Financial Controller to play a critical role in shaping the financial infrastructure of a rapidly expanding international technology business.
Reporting to the CEO/ Founder, the successful candidate will lead global financial reporting, support M&A activity, drive finance transformation and help scale operations across the UK, USA, ANZ, India and Ireland.
This is a rare opportunity to join at a pivotal stage — the energy and ambition of a scale-up, backed by the stability and success of an established international business. Foodhub is profitable, debt-free, and has delivered sustained year-on-year growth across multiple international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Group reporting, including ownership of annual statutory audits, consolidated financial statements and local entity accounts across all jurisdictions — with particular depth in US GAAP reporting, federal and multi-state filings, and compliance with US-specific regulatory requirements.
- Lead the month-end close and consolidated management reporting process across all group entities, ensuring timely, accurate and consistent reporting.
- Partner with the executive leadership team to provide commercial analysis and financial insight that supports strategic decision-making.
- Provide timely, accurate and commercially relevant management information to assist senior business decision making, including KPI dashboards, variance analysis, and forward-looking financial insights across all geographies.
- Continually identify and drive improvements across reporting processes, finance systems, and internal controls — including implementation of scalable frameworks to support growth in the US and other international markets.
- Act as a trusted financial partner to non-finance departments across the group, building strong working relationships with operational leaders in all geographies, including the US leadership team.
- Support M&A activity across the full deal lifecycle, including financial due diligence and driving robust post-deal financial integration across new entities.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel and banking partners across all relevant jurisdictions.
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing Group Reporting Team, establishing clear ownership across jurisdictions, coaching team members, and creating a culture of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Attributes
- ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified, ideally trained within a Big 4 or Top 10 practice environment, with a strong grounding in audit, financial reporting and group consolidation.
- 5+ years' post-qualified experience, including at least 2 years of experience operating at Group Financial Controller, Head of Finance or equivalent senior finance leadership level within a complex multi-entity, international company.
- Experience managing finance operations across multiple international territories, with exposure to US entities, US GAAP considerations, international tax structures and transfer pricing viewed as a significant advantage.
- Proven track record of managing acquisitions and driving successful financial
integrations within a group.
- Strong technical accounting expertise, with the ability to navigate complex consolidation, intercompany and currency translation issues across a multi-entity group structure.
- Commercially minded and entrepreneurial, with the ability to balance robust financial governance with the pace, agility and decision-making required within a founder-led growth business.
- Exceptional communicator and trusted business partner, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, build strong cross-functional relationships, and translate complex financial data into clear, commercially focused insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Proven people leader, with experience building, developing and motivating high-performing finance teams through periods of rapid growth and organisational change.
- Hands-on and adaptable, comfortable operating strategically while also being willing to roll up their sleeves and drive execution when required.
