Sous Chef Position – Kingdom 1795, Killorglin, Co. Kerry
Kingdom 1795 is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. Known for our commitment to seasonal Irish produce, exceptional dining experiences, and high culinary standards, we are looking for a talented professional who shares our passion for great food and hospitality. Work 5 days per week, Mondays & Tuesdays off. Restaurant will be closed for first 2 weeks of September 2026 & 2 weeks in January 2027.
The Role
As Sous Chef, you will:
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Assist in menu development using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Manage stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Sous Chef or senior Chef de Partie role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Passion for modern Irish cuisine and locally sourced produce.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen management procedures.
