Overview
Battle Cancer is seeking a highly driven and creative Social Marketing executive to lead the planning, execution, and growth of our global social media presence. This role is central to how we tell our story, engage our community, and drive participation in our events worldwide.
You will be responsible for managing the full social ecosystem - from content planning and creation to community engagement, ambassador coordination, and paid social campaigns - working closely with internal teams across content, sales, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Planning
- Own and execute the Battle Cancer social media strategy across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Build and manage monthly content calendars aligned with event launches, partnerships, and brand campaigns
- Ensure consistent tone of voice and storytelling across all channels
Content Creation & Management
- Work closely with the content team to plan, produce, and publish high-quality content
- Support in ideation of engaging formats (reels, short-form video, behind-the-scenes, athlete stories, event hype)
- Coordinate content capture around key events and campaigns
Community Growth & Engagement
- Manage day-to-day interaction across platforms (comments, DMs, reposts, community engagement)
- Build relationships with gyms, athletes, and the wider Battle Cancer community
- Drive engagement initiatives that increase participation and retention
Sales & Outreach Support
- Work alongside the Sales Lead to support social outreach to potential partners, gyms, and participants
- Identify and engage leads through social channels
- Support conversion through strategic messaging, content, and follow-ups
Paid Social (Meta Ads)
- Manage a dedicated budget for Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertising
- Plan, execute, and optimize campaigns for event promotion and ticket sales
- Track performance and adjust campaigns to deliver ROI (targeting 4–5x return on spend)
- Strong working knowledge of Meta Ads executive required
Design & Asset Creation
- Collaborate with the COO and wider team to create graphics, social assets, and promotional materials
- Use tools such as Canva / Adobe Illustrator (and others where required) to produce high-quality visual content quickly
Ambassador & Partner Coordination
- Liaise with brand ambassadors, athletes, and partner gyms to create and distribute content
- Ensure ambassadors are posting consistently and aligned with campaign goals
- Support gyms and partners in promoting Battle Cancer events to their audiences
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor and report on key social metrics (growth, engagement, reach, conversions)
- Provide weekly and monthly insights with clear recommendations for improvement
- Continuously test and iterate content and ad strategies
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in social media management (preferably in fitness, events, or lifestyle brands)
- Strong understanding of content trends, especially short-form video
- Experience managing Meta Ads campaigns and budgets
- Confident using tools like Canva and social scheduling platforms
- Excellent communication and community management skills
- Commercial mindset with an understanding of how social drives revenue
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- An eye for detail and strong understanding of brand identity and presence

- Experience working with ambassadors, creators, or influencer networks
- Background in fitness, events, or community-driven brands
- Experience supporting ticketed events or product launches
Pay: €34,000.00 per year
