Shape the commercial performance of CarTrawler by partnering with senior leaders to drive profitable growth and smarter business decisions. As our Senior Commercial Finance Manager (12 mth FTC), you'll combine strategic finance, commercial insight and people leadership to influence key operational, trading and investment decisions across the business. Leading a team of Finance Business Partners, you'll transform complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that deliver measurable value. Working closely with Commercial, Supply, Pricing, Operations and Product & Technology functions, you'll help embed a culture of profitability, accountability and return on investment throughout the organisation.
- Drive commercial insight across key functional initiatives, ensuring business decisions are supported by robust financial analysis and clear recommendations.
- Lead the financial evaluation and governance of new commercial opportunities, partner renewals and investment decisions, balancing growth with sustainable profitability.
- Partner with senior business leaders to influence strategic and operational decisions that maximise profitability and support CarTrawler's long-term growth.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of Finance Business Partners, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Champion a return-on-investment mindset by developing frameworks that help prioritise initiatives delivering the greatest business value.
- Represent Finance across cross-functional forums and strategic projects, building strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring financial considerations shape key business decisions.
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) together with a degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
- Significant post-qualified experience in commercial finance, including experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on value creation and the ability to translate financial analysis into compelling recommendations that influence senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience partnering with cross-functional leadership teams, building trusted relationships and delivering commercially focused outcomes.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, think beyond the immediate issue and translate complex information into practical recommendations that add real business value.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using business intelligence and data visualisation tools such as ThoughtSpot or Tableau.
- Strong interest in applying AI and emerging technologies to improve Finance processes and automate manual activities. Practical experience would be advantageous.
