Stock Controllers – Dublin North and South
We wish to recruit Stock Controllers who will play a key role in managing inventory and ensuring the efficient Stock management operation of some of our Dublin based branches. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating stock replenishment, and supporting the smooth flow of goods throughout the branch. Working closely with suppliers, management, and the wider branch team, the Stock Controller will help ensure stock availability, accuracy, and compliance with company procedures and manage stock takes twice per year.

This role will include:
- Managing and maintaining accurate stock inventory records across the branch.
- Monitoring stock levels and placing replenishment orders in line with branch requirements.
- Coordinating stock transfers between branches and overseeing incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Checking goods received against purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies.
- Labelling stock, monitoring expiry dates where applicable, and ensuring products are stored correctly.
- Conducting regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits to maintain stock accuracy.
- Maintaining purchase, pricing, and inventory reports and analysing stock trends.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding product availability, deliveries, and stock-related queries.
- Investigating stock variances and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensuring stock areas, warehouses, and storage locations are organised, safe, and compliant with company standards.
- Supporting the branch team with stock-related enquiries and product availability information.
- Assisting customers at the trade counter and over the phone when required, delivering excellent customer service.
Criteria:
- Previous experience in a Stock Controller, Inventory Controller, Stores Person, Warehouse, or similar stock management role.
- Strong understanding of inventory control processes, stock reconciliation, and stock auditing.
- Experience using inventory management, ERP, or stock control systems.
- Good knowledge of Hardware, DIY, Plumbing, or Building Materials would be advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in relation to stock discrepancies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proficient in the use of IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
