Sales & Marketing Operative
Castle Freke Distillery is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and highly organised Sales & Marketing Operative to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of one of Ireland's emerging premium spirits brands, working alongside a passionate team dedicated to producing an exceptional gin while building an authentic Irish brand with an international outlook.
This is a varied, hands-on role that combines sales, marketing, customer engagement, operations and administration. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, is willing to get involved in every aspect of the business and is equally comfortable working on social media as they are packing customer orders or representing the brand at events. The successful applicant will thrive in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on, can-do attitude.

Castle Freke Gin is an ultra-premium Irish sipping gin crafted and bottled in West Cork using a proprietary 50-step distillation process that blends scientific precision with timeless artistry. About the Role
Reporting directly to the leadership team, you will work closely with:
- Chairman & Chief Creator
- Director of Digital Strategy & Marketing
- Senior Distiller
Together, you will help drive sales growth, strengthen our brand presence and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Follow up on leads and support sales activation activities.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Manage customer enquiries across phone, email and social media.
- Maintain and update the CRM system.
- Process retail and wholesale orders.
- Support business development initiatives and promotional campaigns.
Marketing & Social Media Management
- Create engaging content for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.
- Plan and manage the social media content calendar.
- Respond to comments, messages and customer queries across digital platforms.
- Write blog articles, newsletters and website content.
- Execute email marketing campaigns.
- Assist with website updates and online merchandising.
- Conduct social listening and monitor brand conversations.
- Engage with influencers, media, partners and other business stakeholders.
Events & Brand Activation
- Plan, coordinate and attend festivals, tastings, trade shows and promotional events.
- Represent Castle Freke Distillery professionally at public events.
- Support event logistics before, during and after each event.
- Evening and weekend work will occasionally be required.
Operations & Administration
- Pack and dispatch online customer orders.
- Assist the production team during busy periods.
- Carry out general administrative duties.
- Assist wherever required within a growing business.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Degree in Marketing, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Full driving licence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Experience with some or all of the following platforms is desirable:
- Hootsuite
- Klaviyo
- HubSpot CRM
- Adobe Express
Experience with Canva, Shopify, photography, videography or AI-assisted marketing tools would also be advantageous, but in no way essential.

Working Arrangements
- Primarily based at Castle Freke Distillery, West Cork, Ireland.
- This is an in-person role.
- International travel may be required from time to time.
- Evening and weekend work will be expected during festivals, trade events and promotional activities.
