Professional Duties and Responsibilities :
- Deliver high quality , person centred care to residents
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and develop, implement and review individualised care plans.
- Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with prescriptions, NMBI standards and nursing-home policies.
- Promote good interpersonal relationships with service users, their families and the interdisciplinary team in accordance with ethical standards
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents and changes in residents' clinical condition and escalate concerns when required.
- Respect and maintain the privacy , dignity and confidentiality of the resident and all the nursing home activities
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Maintain professional competence and keep knowledge and skills up to date through continuing professional development.
- Work in compliance with HIQA and NMBI standards at all time
Essential Requirements
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Nursing qualification recognised for practice in Ireland.
- Previous experience in nursing, preferably in an older-person care or nursing-home setting.
- Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care.
- Good understanding of safeguarding, infection prevention and clinical risk management.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound clinical judgement.
Pay: €19.00-€22.00 per hour
