Café Manager – Full-Time
Location: Athlone
We are looking for an experienced Café Manager to manage the day-to-day running of our small takeaway café in Athlone.
This is a full-time, hands-on position managing a team of four staff. The successful candidate must have previous management or supervisory experience within a café, food service, hospitality or similar environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the daily operation of the café
- Leading, supporting and supervising a small team
- Preparing staff rotas and organising shift cover
- Ensuring excellent customer service at all times
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness and presentation
- Ensuring all HACCP, food safety and hygiene procedures are followed
- Completing opening and closing procedures
- Managing stock levels, ordering supplies and reducing waste
- Handling cash, tills and end-of-day procedures
- Training staff and ensuring procedures are followed consistently
- Helping with food preparation and service during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous café, hospitality or food-service management experience is essential
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Up-to-date HACCP and food safety certification
- A good understanding of food hygiene and workplace safety requirements
- Reliable, punctual and confident managing a small team
- Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on takeaway environment
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Availability to work full-time, including weekends where required
