The Club House Hotel Kilkenny is hiring for a Hotel Receptionist to join their Front Office Team. This is a Full Time position working 4 days per week including some weekend and evening work. The shifts are 8-4pm and 3-11pm including some middle shifts e.g 10-6.30pm where needed.
The roster is set for 4 weeks at a time with rotating weekends off with your colleagues.
The Club House Hotel is one of Irelands longest established hotels, and is located in the heart of Kilkenny City Centre. Having 40 guest bedrooms the position of hotel receptionist is a busy one.
Responsibilities include:
- Taking reservations for bedrooms, meetings and events
- Operation of a switch board
- Guest check in and check out
- Operation of Hotsoft Front office System
- Dealing with guest requests and complaints
- Answering e-mails and managing booking engines
- Cash handling
- Leasing with other departments to insure the smooth running of the hotel
The Ideal Candidate for this position would:
- Have previous hotel reception experience.
- Have excellent communication skills, be courteous, and offer a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Have experience with Hotsoft front office system or similar.
- Be flexible and willing to work shifts and weekends
- Have fluent English
- Be able to work on own initiative
