We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction projects across both residential and commercial sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems, with proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Project Management
- Manage multiple mechanical projects from initial concept through completion
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are met
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Design & Technical Oversight
- Review and coordinate mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulations
- Liaise with engineers, architects, and consultants
Residential & Commercial Delivery
- Oversee installation of mechanical systems in residential developments (housing, apartments)
- Manage commercial projects including offices, retail, and industrial buildings
- Adapt project approach based on differing requirements between residential and commercial environments
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and site personnel
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Conduct regular meetings and provide project updates
Financial Control
- Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasts
- Review and approve supplier invoices and subcontractor payments
- Ensure profitability and cost efficiency across projects
Procurement & Logistics
- Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontract services
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project schedules
Quality & Safety
- Ensure adherence to company quality standards and health & safety regulations
- Conduct site inspections and audits
- Promote a strong safety culture across all projects
RequirementsEducation & Experience
- Degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years experience managing mechanical projects
- Proven experience in both residential and commercial construction
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with building regulations and industry standards
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office
Soft Skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
