Cerner’s footprint is growing in Ireland to change the face of healthcare informatics. We have multiple projects running concurrently including two national projects for Maternity and Labs. Do you have experience managing large scale healthcare IT projects? Do you enjoy launching new projects and successfully seeing them through to fruition? We are looking for a dynamic, seasoned project manager to join our expanding team and lead some of the exciting new projects that are due to start soon. Ideally you would have a strong track record of managing similar projects with proven results.
The Project Manager (Engagement Leader) in Cerner is responsible for four broad areas:
- Team management - Engagement/Project management
- Successful delivery of the project
- Revenue management
They are responsible for the business and installation process relationship within large, integrated system installation projects for designated Cerner clients. The Project Manager is responsible for risk assessment, appropriate executive relationship management, and project status review of assigned accounts. Additional duties include providing support to the project team members and being responsible for resource management to meet contracted project plan deliverables. The Project Manager is the primary on-site contact for all client-based activities and work both within a team based in Dublin office and on client sites. The Cerner solution is a complex application that manages entire hospital information systems and all departmental applications within it. The project manager ensures that the requirements agreed with the client are fully met.
The position is based in our office in Dublin. Please note that a relocation package may be provided to the successful candidate, if they do not live within a commuting distance to Dublin.

Bachelor’s degree in General Studies or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
At least 3 years of project management work experience
At least 3 years of financial management work experience Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare information system (clinical) implementation experience preferred in hospitals in Ireland
Experience managing multiple small and moderate sized teams with disparate roles
Participation in most phases of a single/multiple domain, multi-clinical set of solutions and integrated system implementation preferred
Project Management Professional Certification Expectations
Demonstrated success in forming and managing client Director and CXO level relationships, scope management and adhering to project methodology and approaches.
Availability to travel to client sites 80-100% of the time
