We’re looking for an experienced Workshop Team Leader to join the FJS Joinery team and work on some of the most exciting commercial fit-out projects across Ireland. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a reliable leader who takes pride in their work and is looking for a long-term role.

The Role
- Organize and allocate daily tasks to workshop staff to meet manufacturing deadlines.
- ·Review complex manufacturing drawings, CAD files, and specifications to create accurate cutting lists.
- ·Track production schedules and communicate daily updates to management
- ·Collaborate closely with sales, warehouse, logistics and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Monitor raw material inventory and liase with procurement to ensure adequate stock levels
- Mentor and support workshop staff, promoting a positive and productive team culture
- Mentor apprentices and monitor their progress
- Inspect finished goods to ensure craftsmanship meets quality standards before dispatch
- Conduct regular tool-box talks and risk assessments, ensuring strict adherence to PPE and machinery safety rules
- Oversee the safe operation, cleaning, and scheduled servicing of all workshop machinery and ventilation systems
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency
- Support the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and quality standard
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role including experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a manufacturing workshop
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and operational demands
- Ability to read and work from drawings
- High attention to detail and quality of finish
- Deep knowledge of operating standard joinery machinery e.g., panel saws, spindle moulders, CNC routers, edgebanders etc.
- Strong understanding of timber products, sheet materials, veneers, laminates, and various finishing techniques
- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Practical problem solver who gets things done
- Safe Pass & Manual Handling (or willing to obtain)
- Authorisation to work in Ireland
Pay: €50,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
