Role: Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor required for an established building contractor to work on projects in Leinster. The successful Quantity Surveyor will work under a Contracts Manager who has a proven track record in managing civil, structural and architectural projects professionals within the construction industry. Our client has a great reputation within the industry. The role will be initially based in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.
As Quantity Surveyor, you will directly report to the Contracts Manager and Company Director, and will work collaboratively with them to drive standards. You will initially be supporting Senior QS and Project Managers in developing project costs and monitoring commercial aspects of projects.
Quantity Surveyor Role:
· Pre-contract cost control and management
· Pre-contract document preparation
· All post contract functions including; interim recommendations, cost reporting, Client meetings, final account reconciliations
· Estimating & Cost Planning
· Reporting to the senior surveyor
· Preparing Bills of Quantities
· Preparing Cost Reports
· Preparing Monthly Valuations
· Preparation and Agreement of Final Accounts
· Proactively enhance and improve the service delivered by company.
· Promote a culture of excellent customer service and establishing exceptional working relationships with both your colleagues and the client.
· Act as a brand ambassador and lead the Company through its ongoing expansion.
· Any other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the business.
Requirements
· Degree qualified Quantity Surveyor
· The candidate should be commercially aware and have ambition to progress within the industry.
· It will be necessary to have the drive and determination to manage strict budgets to ensure the commercial success of projects
· Ability to drive projects while working under pressure and within strict deadlines.
· Motivated self-starter, who can work both independently or as part of a team.
· Proficient in IT literacy with the ability to collate and generate detailed site reports.
· Clean, full driving licence
