About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive, solutions-focused Operations Manager to own and lead the day-to-day operations of our growing solar business. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building efficient processes, driving customer satisfaction, and ensuring the business runs smoothly across all operational areas.
The successful candidate will take ownership of customer service, operational performance, team coordination, and continuous improvement. They will work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, and to a high standard of customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the business, ensuring all activities run efficiently.
- Take ownership of operational processes and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
- Take full responsilbilites of customer service structure and deal with escalated cases that require management resoultion.
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational procedures and efficiencies.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure seamless project delivery from scheduling through to completion.
- Manage relationships with installation crews, and suppliers to ensure quality control, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Ensure regulatory, compliance, and administrative requirements are including seamless handling of SEAI grant workflows, RECI certifications, and ESB Networks grid connection applications (NC6/NC7).
- Make informed operational decisions and take ownership of outcomes.
Customer Experience
- Own the customer service strategy and ensure an exceptional customer journey in escalation cases take responsibility for amicable resolution.
- Develop processes that improve customer satisfaction, query turnaround and customers reviews.
- Monitor customer feedback, track resolution times, and implement operational improvements where required.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and support the operations and administrative teams.
- Set performance expectations, track KPIs, and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused culture.
Systems & Technology
- Manage and optimise CRM & company mangement platforms, scheduling software, and operational dashboards.
- Drive the adoption of technology to improve site workflows, real-time reporting, and communication between office, sales and field teams.
- Produce operational reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support executive business decisions.
- Identify opportunities to automate or streamline repetitive operational tasks.
Continuous Improvement
- Build scalable operational processes to support ambitious business growth.
- Analyse operational performance and implement continuous improvements.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment by responding quickly to operational challenges.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an Operations Manager or similar operational leadership role.
- Experience within the renewable energy, solar PV, electrical, or construction sectors is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in scheduling teams and supply chains.
- Strong customer service background with a passion for delivering excellent end-to-end customer experiences.
- Hands-on experience managing software platforms and workforce scheduling systems.
- Excellent organizational, resource-planning, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and people management capability with a focus on team development.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A practical, hands-on problem solver who takes complete ownership of outcomes.
