Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of the hotel's plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, sanitary ware, pipework, pumps, valves, and associated fixtures.

Diagnose and repair plumbing faults promptly to minimise disruption to guests and hotel operations.

Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues and carry out preventative maintenance.

Assist with the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, lighting, HVAC equipment, and other essential building services as required.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests from departments, carrying out repairs efficiently and to a high standard.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations, carrying out routine safety checks and addressing hazards immediately.

Maintain and service maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery, ensuring they are safe and fit for purpose.

Assist with general maintenance duties, including carpentry, painting, decorating, tiling, and minor building repairs when required.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance work completed, inspections, and preventative maintenance schedules.

Monitor stock levels of plumbing materials, spare parts, and maintenance supplies, notifying management when replenishment is required.

Respond effectively to emergency maintenance situations, including plumbing leaks, blocked drains, flooding, power failures, and other urgent issues.

Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Team and other hotel departments to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment for guests and team members.

Adhere to all health and safety procedures, using the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following safe working practices at all times.

Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the hotel's building services and maintenance operations.

Proven experience and strong working knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, installations, fault finding, maintenance, and repairs.

Experience working within a hotel, hospitality, commercial, or facilities maintenance environment is desirable.

Good all-round maintenance skills, with knowledge of electrical systems, carpentry, painting, tiling, and general building maintenance.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance schedules where required.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise maintenance tasks effectively.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

A good understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices relating to maintenance and plumbing works.

Relevant plumbing qualification is desirable. Additional trade qualifications or electrical knowledge would be an advantage.

Full, clean driving licence is desirable.

Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and participation in an on-call rota where required to respond to emergency maintenance issues.
