About the Role
Our client is a leading Irish manufacturer and supplier of concrete and construction products. They are seeking an experienced Category C HGV Driver to join their transport team in Tullamore. The successful candidate will deliver concrete pipes, concrete roof tiles and plastic pipes to customers and construction sites throughout Ireland using a rigid HGV.
Main Duties
- Deliver products safely and on time to customers across Ireland.
- Load, secure and unload products correctly.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
- Follow Driver CPC, tachograph and drivers' hours regulations.
- Comply with company health and safety procedures and site rules.
- Keep the vehicle clean and in good working order.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
Requirements
- Full HGV licence (Category C).
- Valid Driver CPC.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous HGV driving experience.
- Good driving record and commitment to safe driving.
- Good knowledge of Irish roads and road transport regulations.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work on your own.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Desirable
- Experience delivering construction materials.
- Forklift or HIAB experience is an advantage but not essential.
