Due to continued expansion, Timoney has an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Supervisor who will help shape the future of production.
About the Role
Timoney is seeking a practical and hands-on Workshop Supervisor to support the assembly processes and after sales customer support at its Navan facility.
This is a key role within the manufacturing function, supporting the Head of Manufacturing. The successful candidate will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain.
Workshop:
- Manage the day to day running of the Timoney workshop
- Prioritisation and allocation of tasks and activities in line with the needs of the company.
- Assembly and test of Timoney product.
- Manage workshop product flow and layout ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Where necessary, troubleshoot and problem solve issues in order to complete tasks.
- Communicate with engineering, manufacturing and appropriate personnel about project status, milestones and problems.
- Assist whenever needed to ensure compliance and follow-thru with projects.
- Take the responsibility of pre-implementation and installation jobs, assist personnel with product trial evaluations and/or trade shows.
- Able to manage multiple requests at one time (multi-task).
- Responsible for Health & Safety compliance in the workshop including arranging the annual inspections of all equipment and recording of same.
- Assist in Operations and Warehouse, when needed, including receiving of goods, packing of orders and related tasks.
After Sales Support:
- Support the aftersales function by advising on recommended spare parts list, product maintenance and related tasks.
- Liaise with suppliers on spare parts pricing and availability to aid in the spare parts quotation process.
- Compile training materials and conduct training for product servicing or maintenance.
Facilities:
- Responsible for general building maintenance and repairs.
- Manage contractors on site.
- Install, upgrade, configure and support parts and equipment.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a practical manufacturing or assembly supervisor who is comfortable working between the production floor, engineering office, suppliers, customers and operational teams.
They should be structured, hands-on and technically capable, with the ability to understand production, engineering and customer requirements. Experience in low-volume, high-value engineering or vehicle-related manufacturing would be particularly relevant.
Required Experience and Skills
- Technical Education LEVEL 6 or higher
- 3 years + in a supervisor role in manufacturing or assembly
- Display good leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- High attention to detail skills.
- Positive proactive mindset
- Be willing to learn and adapt.
- Work efficiently as part of a team and as well as on own initiative.
- Flexible to the needs of the business and the need to take on tasks within the business depending on requirements.
- Be responsible and take ownership of your work.
- Availability for International travel.
Pay: €40,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
